This paper which was begun with such feelings of, well, not-caring has ended with one of the best arguments I've ever produced.

Of course, I still need to add 700 words to it...
word limits blooooow.

I have not updated in quite a while, having decided to quit the whole live-journal thing. But, apparently my decisions are not terribly constraining.

So I'm on spring break--last year I spent this time in New Orleans (check 51 weeks ago for my 10 page polemic on the trip), therefore I decided to spend this year in a bit more of a relaxing locale.

It's astounding how much warmer Williamsburg, VA, is compared to Cambridge, MA, when they are only 400 miles away.

Oh ya, that's right--I'm spending my spring break in the tourist spot to top them all. Not Cabo, not the Bahamas, but Williamsburg. Matt Shayefar and I are staying with Dan for a week. It's nice; it's relaxing; the whole town is pastoral. I feel about 80 walking through colonial williamsburg, by association with everyone else there.

The town isn't actually populated by reenactors, the original population just never left.

I think matt and I are going to go down to Jamestown tomorrow.

A couple of quick points. Dan and Josh and I went to the museum of the confederacy yesterday and chose not to pay--lest our money be used towards the ends of the thinly veiled pro-confederacy institution--my mom yelled at me for this that it was a) stealing b) represented an unwillingness to allow people to express views that differ from my own.
We also ate soul food yesterday. We paid for that.

Um, last Thursday was the freshman welcome into Lowell House. I did the traditional 1) paint my torso blue 2) have someone sit on my shoulders whilst they play the tuba 3) dance around.
It was fun.

I am currently sitting in the Fine Arts library researching the overlap between Georges Bigot--a French, satirical comic drawer of the 1870s--and Kiyochika--a newspaper woodblock printer of Japan in the 1870s to 1890s. It is lonely work, and I was thinking about who I would currently hang out with. So here's the list of people that I would really like to hang out with right now:
1) Andrew W.K.

OK, so I finally get a new phone in a month (if you check a few entries back you'll find that mine stopped functioning when i took it for a nice swim).
I've decided I want a smart phone, because for the current prices there's no reason not to get a phone that doesn't act as my planner and quick email client-y thing; well, if I'm going to get a smartphone I might as well get a blackberry-esque thin
so, I don't really know anything about phones and whatnot, so if any of you do, which of these following should I get--ie: which is the best

Samsung Blackjack
Blackberry Pearl (which sounds like a tampon)
Palm Treo 680
Nokia E62
Blackberry 7290
Blackberry 7130c
Blackberry 8700c (the one the douchebag in the onion uses)

All of these fit my general requirement of "costing less than a ticket to los angeles" (ie: all 200 or less)
but which is the best deal?

Thinking about halloween--a lot of women dress up as slutty _____, like slutty nurse, or slutty bumblebee, or slutty cat, etc.

Here's a costume I really want to design, slutty burka

now, what would it look like?

I'm thinking a red-lace burka.

Subject:A Petersburg Poem
Time:8:25 pm.

This man is Frank Caliendo of the Mad TV cast.

This man is Bryan Haut, and the author of this page.

Petrushka, Petrushka get in here at once. If I appear to you and make strange orders, do not obey. Now, as I have just been promoted to titular counselor it is tantamount that this blackguarding Caliendo not speak to Mr. Anton Antonovitch; my reputation in this city must be preserved from such dastardly, blackguarded maneuvers. Now, fetch me a carriage, I must meet with Krestyan Ivanovitch Rutenspitz. Yes, the carriage must cross Ismailovsky bridge at just after 9AM. Our hero is off.

I was going to do leadup, but no, I'll get right to it.

I jumped in the pool, and swam two laps, today before realizing my cell phone (former) was in my pocket.
